God’s Feathers

Did you ever wonder why the lady with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’ garment in order to be healed? The answer lies in the word hem.

In Greek, the New Testament language, hem is translated, kraspedon,in Matthew 9:20. This word means border, tassel, fringe.

The corresponding word in Hebrew, the Old Testament language, is kanaph which is translated in Psalm 91:4 as wings, extremity. We translate this as corners, edge, skirt, wings, a border, hem or feather. This passage reads: “He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.”

Now connect these scriptures with Malachi 4:2 which reads: “But for you who fear My name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.”

This passage speaks of the coming Messiah, Jesus. He will have healing in His wings (His hem). The woman in Matthew 9:20 knew the scripture in Malachi. By reaching out to touch His hem (the edge of His garment) that Jesus was the promised Messiah who possessed the healing she so desperately needed.

Jesus is still here today by His Holy Spirit. Do you need healing today? Reach out and touch His hem.

Note: The “sun of righteousness” is another name for the coming Messiah. David called Him this name in his last song recorded in II Samuel 23:4

The Great Experiment Continues

The Great Experiment Continues-Sally Jadlow

This article is a continuation of the blog I posted on WBT on June 4, 2012 at http://writebraintrust.wordpress.com/2012/06/04/sally-jadlow-post1/At that time I had run two, two-day promos on Amazon Kindle on both God’s Little Miracle Book and The Late Sooner. God’s Little Miracle Book had downloaded for free a total of 21,716 times and The Late Sooner came in for totals of 14,591 downloads.

Somehow there is a correlation between Amazon and Google. If you type in “miracle books” in Google, my book about miracles pops up on the first page near the top.

I don’t pretend to understand the way this internet stuff works. It just does. It’s kind of like electricity. I don’t know how a light switch works either. I just know if I flick the switch and the fuses aren’t blown, I’ll get a lighted room.

Even though sales have slowed, God’s Little Miracle Book is still listed today at #64 in Kindle, Nonfiction, Religion and Spirituality, Christianity, Reference, Meditations on the buy page on Amazon.

We did try a two-day promotion of God’s Little Miracle Book II in mid-June and for some reason ereadernewstoday.com didn’t list it. It only appeared on inspired reads.com which is a Christian book promotion site. From there, it only downloaded 126 times.

A total of 523 books sold in June after the May promotion. Even today, over two months later, I’m still selling about two books a day on average. I’m pleased with these numbers. My goal isn’t to make a boatload of money, but to share with others what God is doing in our world today. Soon I’ll have God’s Little Miracle Book III finished so I can continue this great experiment.
